Help!! I need a good dessert!

    Advertisements
My lovely husband signed us up to bring a dessert for a church function this weekend (in the park, it will be warm )

I hate the normal cupcake, cookies, brownies that people make. Any ideas for a good, fairly original dessert?

Not exactly sure what I wanna make yet

Hmm if it's outside & warm, something simple is probably best. I'd do like lemon bars or rice crispy treats.

Hollow out a watermelon with a melon baller then put the balls of melon back in the shell and bring toothpicks! Not super desserty but at least you won't have to worry about it spoiling.

Hmm that is a good idea.

I just know that there will be a ton of the normal cookies, brownies, cake stuffs. I am going to have to growl at dh for singing me up for dessert with out having an idea of what to bring

In the summer, I don't think you can go wrong with peaches and cream... I'd do something like this

My husband makes a really yummy desert with homemade crust and everything. It has blueberries on top and it's soooo good! Problem is I don't know where he put the recipe. haha I'll ask him if you want me to.
