oh yes he will get r&r. usually between 6-8 months into his tour. (that is counting the training he did here in the states as well) i'm coping pretty well. just staying busy. my hubby gets r&r in june and the past 3 months went by quick for me so hope the next 3 does as well

yeah he's supposed to get r&r in may sometime. its still 3 mos away but i hope time goes by fast. thank god feb is the shortest month of the year lol

HSC is headquarters support something? i forget. yeah he's national guard too. as far as we know he's supposed to go back to ft. hood at the end of the deployment. probably for psych evaluation and all that stuff. i will be soooo happy when that day comes...

yeah thats what i've heard for the most part too. i'm not sure what part of the unit your guy is in but my husband is in HSC and he said that they were de-mobing at ft. lewis washington. but then he got his new orders before leaving the states and it said ft. hood (again) so who knows lol

if he's gone for a year he should get 2 weeks of r&r around 6 months into his tour. and if he's going to another state for training they will probly do a visitor day or even a weekend before he leaves the states and you'd be able to go see him then....

i'm holding up okay i guess. really missing my husband but what can we do you know? just trying to stay busy instead of loafing on the couch crying. (which won't bring him home any faster anyway right?) when does your BF deploy or did he already?

hello. yeah i agree that the deployment came too soon. ours happened a week after we got married :-/ hey your birthday is only 3 days after mine lol. i'm a bit older though...
