How I Met My Military Significant Other:

I was in WV visiting my friends/fam. I had previously attended FSU up there & was on my way from Buckhannon, WV back 2 the school. I was very tired & I'm a bad driver when sleepy. I hit this van in the parking garage at FSU. I left a note. Days went by & I didn't receive a phone call from the owner, so I assumed they didn't care about the van since it was old & beat up anyway. On the 3rd or 4th day I received a call from my future DF. He told me not 2 worry about the van b/c it was a POS & was his parents'. I was so relieved! We hit it off instantly. I would say the 1st 2 minutes were about the van, & then we talked like 8 more about all kinds of stuff. We would have talked longer, but he had 2 go 2 class.

I used 2 live in a dorm at FSU called Bryant Place. There are 4 rooms in a suite, & my suitemates & I tried 2 get the same room for our 2nd year b/c we loved our room then - 413. Someone had already secured the room though. We were bummed but chose the next closest room (415). I lived in 415 1/2 a semester & then withdrew. When I asked my future DF where he lived, you can imagine how shocked I was when he said 413 BP! I was in total amazement. Then I asked him which room he lived in. It just so happened that he lived in 413 A – my old room! I guess we lived right next door 2 each other 1st semester & didn't even know it! I knew all 3 of his suitemates but could never find out who was living in A. He went on 2 tell me how he had driven all the way 2 Clarksburg & back, which is an hour drive on I-79 (70 mph plus he speeds). He had run other errands as well & didn't see the note until he was pulling back into the parking garage! I don't know how it stayed on, but it felt like fate.

We met in person on Easter Sunday. I'm the type who really takes my time with guys. Well we watched a movie, cuddled, & kissed that night! I was very surprised, but I felt so good around him.. & still do! :)

About Us:

Our relationship = the best thing ever. DH is in Nuclear Power School right now, and I'm going to school online (Graphic Design). We just moved into our new home in SC, and we love it, so life is good!

Interests & Hobbies:

Well I love just about anything art related. CS3 is the shit, though I'm mainly working in CS2 (It still gets the job done). I enjoy the beach and warm weather, and yes, Palm trees and Hibiscus flowers rock my world. I heart college basketball (UNC) and college football (WVU). Music is my third love (AFTER the LML and my Min Pin "BB"!). I could drink smoothies and sweet tea all day, every day, and NEVER get sick of them, and while skirts and flip-flops make my days, lace and sunglasses make my nights! :)

Well DH & I recently got married...so since I plan on being with him for all eternity, I guess the military will take me wherever it decides, for however long DH stays in. I'm hoping it will continue to help both of us live the life we want..and I hope it will continue to give us something to be proud of.
