How I Met My Military Significant Other:

We met in middle school (2000) when he moved to town in 6th grade.

About Me:

I am from a small town and a small family. I am quiet when I want to be and loud when I need to be. I have always been highly adaptable and independent, and that has proven extremely useful to me and my husband in this life. In May 2011 (almost 3 months into our marriage), I was able to graduate from Michigan State University and finally get some time with my better half.

About Us:

September 11, 2001 we were in the same class room when news was spread around the school and it cemented in DH's mind that he was going to enlist. We were friends all through middle school, but lost touch in high school. Thanks to facebook, we reconnected in the summer of 2009. He happened to be in Iraq with the Corps, and I was in school. We fell hard, and spent the next 2 years in a long distance relationship that turned into a long distance marriage. Now, the only thing that keeps us apart is his training and deployment. I'm finally able to move with him where ever he gets stationed.
