How I Met My Military Significant Other:

John and I have known each other practically our whole lives. We were both members of the same church, but we grew up in two separate high schools with two different groups of friends. It was Easter Sunday, just two months after John had come home from basic training, and we had bumped into each other in the back of church. Sarcastically, I made a comment how it was so nice of him to show up, since he was late for church. We ended up flirting for the rest of the service. I couldn't keep my eyes off him, and apparently he was just as amused. Since that day, we have been completely smitten with one another. We are absolutely in love with one another, and it grows every day.

About Me:

I am the second of three daughters, a proud aunt, a Nursing student about to enter my third year of college, and the devoted girlfriend of a 19D Cavalry Scout of the National Guard. I am strong, independent, and fun-loving. I always laugh, and try to look for the things that make me better in life. I cherish my parents, grandparents, and family members. I don't usually open profiles like this, but thought it would be a good way to help me get through John's upcoming deployment. I hope I get to hear some great stories, and learn about all of you other strong women and men who are supporting our troops!

About Us:

John and I have been together since May of 2011. We didn't expect to end up so serious about each other, but fate got in the way. We have our differences, but seem to balance each other extremely well. We love doing activities outdoors, and spend a lot of time trying new things.
