Hey! My DH graduates April 21! Yeah, this whole prospect of moving right after he graduates from AIT is pretty scary! Good luck to you too! My DH is at Fort Jackson, SC; where's yours?

Aww will he not get made fun of for that? I feel like they're pretty mean to one another in the Marines!

I really can't thank you enough for all of your help. I recently moved to a new place so I haven't really "laid roots" here and I've made some friends but none that I feel I can call in a time of need, you know? Plus they don't really understand it anyways. I didn't realize just how much I rely on him until now though. It's crazy how much I depended on him for emotional support! But just like you said, I have to keep reminding myself that this isn't forever. I've already started to drive myself mad though. I know he won't be able to send letters until week 3 at the earliest but I'm already thinking to myself "oh no, what if I'm sending too many letters? What if he's changing his mind!?" It's so frustrating what silence can do to a person.

That's good advice. It's so hard not to tell my DB just how much he's putting me through by being gone but I know that he's really going to need my support right now and I want to be there 100%. But I also feel like I've now realized that I don't want to wait any longer to get engaged and get married because being without him is so painful! How did you stay productive? Was it hard to focus?

Thanks! How did you handle the initial separation? Do you feel like it prepared you for deployment and the long journey ahead?

Thank you so so much for that post...really helped me put things into perspective. I know that I'm about to get the "goodbye" phone call from my DB any minute now so I'm moping around the house. But tomorrow will be a different story. Seriously, that really just motivated me to get living!

I'm doing pretty good, DH's grauation is coming soon from BCT..Feb 4th!
