hey! how have you been? It's been a long time.

Oh and I am originaly from Lithuania, which is only about an hour flight from there, and I still have family back there, so I'm excited that I will get to visit them more often than I have. I've been here for 13 years, and I've only been back twice. Once 11 years ago, and once again this past summer. Though right now, what I want most is just to finally move, get settled in, so we could finally feel like a family.
How is everything there for you? Did you pick up your pets yet?

I've been in such a rut the past couple of weeks. It seemed anywhere I turned to try to figure all this out, I'd hit a wall. So I and , but then I decided to put my on, and get done what I have to get done. So I finally found the EFMP manager at Rock Island, IL, and she was super helpfull in pointing me in the right direction. I'm finally again. The bad thing is that there are no army bases around in Illinois, the closest one is 150 miles away from me, but finally we're getting somewhere with this. I got the EFMP paperwork to fill out, and tuesday we're going to Rock Island to the doctor appointment so they can fill out the rest, and finally then I'll mail it all back to Ft. Knox, and hope that all of this won't take months and months. How long did it take for you, from when you started the paperwork, to when you actually got to go there? I'm not sure what comes next, so I'm getting a head start on packing (ok well i've been trying to do that for the past few months, just not getting far with that ) I'm excited that my DH finally agrees with me, that once we get our furniture and things sent out, and have a place to live there, I'm going to come "visit" for a while, until we move in, and get settled, we hope to leave our son with my mom, and then I would come back to pick him up. He tells me it's not going to be very long after I get the EFMP papers sent in, so I've really got my hopes up that it would be true.
