    I. Love. Coupons!

    Advertisements
So I signed up for the 4 weeks free trial of Grocery Game last night, chose my stores, and headed to Bi-Lo!

My total was $38.11 and I saved $26.11
I only spent $12.33 after tax!

    Stuff I bought:
    4 Keebler's pie crust
6 Green Giant frozen boxed veggies
1 Digorno Pizza + cookies combo
    1 six pack Diet Coke
    1 Kraft ranch dressing
    1 box Chocolate Mousse Duets
1 wheat bread (stupid no coupon)
I'm pretty much in love with this. It's so easy with the Grocery Game!
Never do anything halfway unless you want to be half happy.

Is this a dream? If it is, please don't wake me from this high. I'd become comfortably numb
until you opened up my eyes to what it's like when everything is right...I can't believe you found me ♥

Go to Coupons, Grocery Coupons - The Grocery Game - A Weekly List of the lowest-priced groceries at your local stores and sign up for a 4 week free trial. You don't pay anything until after those four weeks and it's only if you choose to continue the program.

It's a website that basically does most of the 'dirty work' for you. She combines coupons + in store sales/deals to show the percentage of savings for each item. All the items in blue are at least 50% savings and are what you should stock up on.

You can have up to five stores I think and it breaks them down by store, savings percentage, item, etc...just however you want to have the list shown. The video tutorial is only about 3 minutes and def. worth watching, very informative.

Now I'm a coupon freak which I have my own blog and I find the deals for the stores online. I just checked out the grocery game, just to see what's it's all about. I like how organized it was. But only thing I saw wrong with it, it didn't have most of the good deals listed. But it's going be hit of miss. It would be pretty hard to have one source where you can find all the deals offered from the store. Either way you can still save money using this site you just might not get all the deals.

I'll have to try out couponmom.com! I've been going to livingonacoupon.com, she's one of the ladies who was on Extreme Couponing, Jessica Hacker.

I think The Grocery Game is good for people just starting out, or for people low on time. I just love how it tells you exactly how much you're saving with a running total on the side!

What sort of deals does it miss?

For example for Walgreens, I didn't see these deals listed:
Buy 2 Grade A large eggs 1 dozen $1.29 each = 2 FREE Redbox movie rentals
    Total = $2.58
Use the $.55/2 One Dozen Carton of Eggs I posted about here
(*NOTE: This coupon is finicky as a lot of you are not able to locate it. )
Final cost as low as $2.02 for 2 dozen eggs + 2 FREE Red Box Movie Rentals!

PEEPS Chocolate Item singles 1 to 1.5 oz 2/$1 with in ad coupon
Use the $1/2 PEEPS chocolate item (no size restriction) coupon found here (click on “Easter Treats” Tab)
(only available to those who haven’t printed it and only one print allowed per computer)
Final cost – 2 for FREE!

    Gas-X 18 or 20 ct, Ex-lax 24 ct, Maalox 90 ct or liquid 12 oz $4.99
    Deal Scenario:
Buy Gas-X prevention $4.99 (if included in sale)
Use the $4/1 Gas-x coupon found in the 12/12 SS
Plus, use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon found in the April Coupon Booklet
    Final cost FREE!

Ajax cleanser 14 oz 2/$1 with in ad coupon
Use the $1/2 coupon found in the 2/27 SS
    Final cost 2 for FREE!

That's just some of them too many to post.

Congratulations! You did well for your first haul.

    Re: the Grocery Game
I think it's a good learning tool, but eventually you'll grow beyond it. I see it as more of a "safety net" that will teach you to identify deals on your own and learn the ropes. It's like Butterflykisses said, they have a bunch of really good deals on stuff, but not everything. Check out some other sites as well and combine it all.
Where are we going and why are we in a handbasket?

From the website's frequently asked questions:

    Q: How do I cancel?
    A: Cancellations are handled online.

1.Log in with your username and password.
2.Click on the Membership button above your list information.
    3.Click on "Modify Membership/Cancel".
4.Remove all selected stores to cancel.
    5.Click on "Save".
The only stores available are Walgreens and CVS Totally not going to work for me
