He had an idea of what I wanted for the engagement ring.

The wedding rings are super special though. They were given to us by his parents who previously had them. Before that his dad's grandparents had them.

He picked it out and suprised me. Although my ring was supposed to be a promise ring instead of an engagement ring. When he gave it to me we decided we didnt want to wait to get married so it became my wedding ring also! I dont mind though I love it!

Thank you. I love it too. I was a little intimidated by the size of the jewels when he gave it to me because I'm not a big jewelry person and I thougth it was a bit flashy for me, but once I put it on, it was perfect!

Funny story - he was very creative in finding out my ring size....My neighbors daughter came over one day because she had a 'science experiment' to do, and she needed many samplings. She had a hypothesis that people's body parts measured different - ex, one hand or foot bigger than the other...so she had a string and a ruler and started measuring my hands, my wrists, my feet then my fingers. I even helped her with a spreadsheet for her presentation!!! Two weeks later, Kevin proposed to me with the ring that was perfectly sized!!!

I'll try to get a better picture when I get home tonight.

lol that is cute! I love how creative men get with those things! Some of my most cherished jewlery I inheirited from my grandmother-things like that mean sooo much to me.

We had discussed rings prior to getting engaged, so he knew for the most part what I liked. But he picked it out and surprised me and we both picked out the bands.

I picked it out and he let me buy it with our credit card. The same thing with my anniversary band. I hope he surprises me some day
