Invitation wording

So since DH and I are already married, but we did the whole courthouse thing and our big wedding is next October. How do we word the invitations? I was thinking of just keeping it like a normal wedding, and just like putting my name, then my last name now, then maiden name in () behind it. I dunno. What do yall think?

I know for our save the dates we're going to say We're already married! But, save the date for the big one! and then my lastname now since most people know anyways and i'm just going the easy route to just say what the hell

But IMO you could do it like you said or you could always just do it with your lastname now . I guess it's also pretty dependent on your registry too, like if you are doing it in your maiden name, make sure everyone sees that name.

We did the same thing and just worded it like a regular invite. Most people knew we were already married, but no one really cared.

Yeah. But I know some of like my step dads family who I don't know all that well, they won't have any idea lol. And my parents names wont be on the invite.

I asked DH and got the typical "Whatever you want honey!" from him lol.

Once DB becomes DF I can run this by him but I'd like to just invite very close friends and family, about 15 of us to the courthouse and then have a huge party with extended friends and family. I'm just not real thrilled about sharing such an intimate part of my life with a crap ton of people

I would make it clear on the invite that we were already married and it was just the reception...

BTW, even though you've been married a bit. Do you still get a kick out of saying "my husband"? I will do it every chance I get.

Yeah I agree. But since we're already married, I don't really think it matters. Granted, a place Im looking at only holds 120 people so our guest list will have to be cut down atleast fr the actual wedding. Everyone pretty much knows we're married, but yeah I dunno.

Oh yes! I love it! It makes me smile ALOT to hear DH call me his wife. Especially when its to his guys. I talk about him alot at work (Im a cashier) so I love it
