Heart themed wedding

DF and I are getting married in july, our colors are going to be red, white and black. And i plan on using double hearts as our theme, on napkins, matches, favors, etc. Do you think it would be childish to carry it on to decorations? I found some super cute invitations with hearts, but do you think (ie,) heart shaped rose petals and candles would be too much? They make heart shaped EVERYTHING. I was even thinking about looking at valentines decorations once they go on clearance... I just dont want to go over board, cause i know if I do, i wont be able to control myself lol

Opinions? Suggestions?

If that is your theme I think it's find to carry it over into decorations as long as you don't go overboard.

I was all excited about it too, until i read one of those stupid bridal mags and they were talking about valentines day weddings, and how they get cheesy quick. I have to decorate the hall and everything on my own, other wise i wouldnt be worried about it.

Another thing i was thinking about, what about throwing in pink flowers, along with the red? In my mind i think it would clash, but ive seen super cute bouquets with red and pink.

I LOVE the red and pink together! Go with it! And do what you want! The only think I would be careful of with the hearts is mixing to many different styles. Try to stick with one or two that work well. Then I don't think you will feel like it will get too cheesy or too overboard. Also....just a hint since you said you have to decorate the hall (which we did too!) if there are any plants or trees in your hall use white lights. They are so simple and really add to the elegance of a place!

hey, i'm doing double hearts too! (purple and blue are my colors) its kinda going to be an underlying theme. i think the only thing hearts at my actual wedding will be on my cake. not sure what else i will incorporate it into, probably the placecards, anything paper that is involved in the wedding. i don't think its childish at all

I had the double heart theme too!
I got a lot of my stuff at walmart! So it was pretty cheap too and I loved it.
