Honeymoon - Weddings

Where did you spend your honeymoon? Did you and your husband pay for your own honeymoon, or was it a gift? How did you two decide where you wanted to spend your honeymoon? Post your honeymoon pictures!

(I am not engaged, but DB and I "should" be sometime this year. Last night he said he was not going to tell me anything about the proposal, but he did say "I hope we will be engaged sometime this year" then giggled. We are casually discussing wedding/honeymoon details a lot lately.)

That's our current wedding thing to figure out.

We should be meeting with a travel agent next week and applying for passports.

We'll be paying for it ourselves and want something all-inclusive. We've been looking at resorts in Mexico.

my DH and I are spending our honeymoon in italy on his R&R.. we are paying for it ourselves!! i cant wait he started deployment training less then 3 wks after we where married so we have yet to spend a lot of alone time together. It is now less then 4 months away!! It will also be over our 1 yr anniversary!!

For our small wedding we just spent a few days in a really nice suite on the coast. We paid for it ourselves. For our big wedding, we are most likely either going to take a cruise or possibly stay at a Sandals resort (if we go it'll be Antigua). We'll pay for that one, too =)

We went to Kiawah Island near Charleston, SC. It was absolutely perfect since we got engaged in Charleston, it's only 3 1/2 hours away and some family friends let us stay in their awesome house for free! Their gift made our honeymoon so much more enjoyable because we could spend more on having fun and not stressing about paying a lot each night.

ETA: we plan on doing our big "exotic" honeymoon as a 1 year anniversary trip to Spain next year. We'll be stationed at RAF Mildenhall so the trip won't be as far or as economically prohibitive as it would be for others.

Charleston seems to be a magical city. DB and I fell madly in love with each other in Charleston.

Dh and I went to FL for our honeymoon. Disney World baby!! Our favorite place in the entire world!

DH and I will be going to Disney world for 4 days followed by a week long cruise. We're in the process of planning it now =]

We went to cozumel for a week...my husband is ridiculously into diving, and there are less sharks in cozumel and I'm shark phobic. We went snorkeling, swam with dolphins, took a beach cruise, went over to cancun to visit Xel-Ha. It was an awesome honeymoon. My parents gave us two grand as a wedding gift to put towards our honeymoon. Go parents.

We went to Europe.

My parents gave us money and we flew space-a soo it wasn't as expensive as it could have been.
