I have a planner. He is amazing. He works for the venue but has helped with all outside vendors and has been amazing with ideas and suggestions with some touchy issues we have reguarding family and what not. His fee is $3000. Do you mean our overall wedding budget?

Yea, dont get me wrong I am loving it, but its getting much more difficult to do it from here without someone in the states to help pull things together, talk to vendors when I cant, and all that kinda stuff that acutally requires a person to be there KWIM?

My wedding budget was $30k and I did a lot on my own at first so my wedding planner was about $2k. In hindsight, I wish I had all that money back.

Thats around the price range I am looking, but the ones I have found on the knot are used to the high end, super fancy and want 5k-7k

When we were going to have a beach wedding we talked to a planner and he was going to charge a % of our wedding budget. At the time our budget was 10K and he was going to be 1k, so I guess he was 10ish % of our wedding budget.

I planned it all myself but I needed a day of planner. I got one who had just been certified so she did it for free, but she was amazing! I tipped her $100 and paid for her hotel.
we had a $25K budget and I think we came in just under that, for the price of everything -- including clothes and honeymoon.
