The registry scares me
So since Ducky and I are planning a large ceremony in the spring-summer of 2011. But we are doing a JP ceremony in December.
Well a few friends and family members want to know where we are registered so they can go ahead and start shopping. Well the only thing around here really is Target lol so I started a registry online ....What do I register for? I did an inventory of what we have already and its pretty pathetic  so we pretty much need everything.The lists they have are a bit overwhelming. I know to register for things in different price ranges but uh..what else should I know? I hate registries. I really do. But it was very delicately hinted to me that some people might maim me if I don't register somewhere. What did you guys register for?

It's so overwhelming.
I suggest going into a store and starting it up. Just walk around and scan everything you want/need. Take extra time in the kitchen and bedding sections but you can register for stuff in any department. Once you're done, you can look at it later and be more realistic about it. Remember, you can continually add/delete things. It's not final. If you change your mind about something, just update it. HAVE FUN!  ETA: We also printed off one of those "must have" lists and sat down with it before going to the store. We crossed off stuff we had or wouldn't need and let the more personalized, smaller list guide our scanning.

We registered for just about everything....
Bath towels Bathroom decor (tp holder, shower racks, trashcans etc. all in our color scheme) Kitchen Towels Baking and Kitchenware I wish we had registered for pots and pans My DH even put some board games on there since that's a big part of his interests Picture frames Basically you name it, we registered for it.

We haven't registered yet but will in a few weeks. We also pretty much need everything. We plan on registering for all the household stuff, towels, decorations, etc.. I've seen some registeries where couples have put televisions, fish tanks, there is also tools for the house to think about.

When I did mine at Target, I went through all the aisles in the kitchen/home stuff and just registered for what I thought I would need. I also had the list that they gave me and made sure I got all the essentials included. It was a ton of fun!
