A huge weight off of my shoulders! - Weddings

I have been engaged for about 6 months now. DF and I have come up with a few dates, decided on new ones, ect. A few weeks ago we had finally decided on a date. Or a time frame I guess. Sometime between march 5th and march 15th! I wanted him to ask for my parents blessing forever. He wouldn't- he was too nervous. I will admit my parents are very intimidating. We are young, 20 and 22, but we know what we want. FINALLY last night he asked them! They reacted much better than I thought they would. They gave us their blessing, and offered to help out with planning, ect. I feel like so much pressure has been lifted off of me! He was adorable the whole time too!

So, now that I have their blessing, we can start planning. Where do we start?!?!

Congrats! The first few things I would do is decide where you want it, what kind of wedding you want it to be, and how many people. That will guide you in the right direction in terms of planning. (oh and the dress, for me it was all about the dress!)

! i'd have to say the lifesaver for me has been www.theknot.com has a timeline for EVERYTHING...you put in your wedding date or roundabout and it will tell you what you need to do when in order to get everything done on time, and they have so much help. you can create your own little wedding page you can send out too, and i believe you can include your registries on there as well. its awesome!!!

Thank you all very much! We have decided to get married at the church I belong to, and I have to go to talk to the priest within the next few weeks to work out the complications with him being in Japan, and then we can start looking at a place to hold the reception!
