Did you do your invitations yourself or did you order from somewhere?


I'm really thinking about making our own wedding invitations

When I was engaged, I did the invites my self. They weren't anything fancy, but I liked them. I saved a lot of money because I could make as many as I wanted and where I wanted. I worked on them at home and at work

You totally should!!! I wanted to make my own but there simply wasn't enough time so I ordered them from a local shop.

Plus, if you have a local printer in your area, many of them do embossing and at least for the guy we checked with, he was very reasonable.

I made my own through MS Word. I will not go near that beast, Illustrator.

I was going to make them myself, but then I discovered that my company has an AMAZING discounted printing program. They have some really awesome wedding invitations for about the same amount as the ones I would make myself.

I would definitely do them yourself if you are creative enough! Not only can you personalize them, but you can save money.

where did you get your stock card paper from? or what did you use?

I know there are tons of places online that you can order paper from, and they also have different types of really neat blank cards.

i will have to start checking into places. we've got 7 & 1/2 months untill the wedding so i know i'll have plenty of time.

I used white cardstock and printed on both sides. Then cut with a paper trimmer to fit in an A7 sized envelope from Paper Source.
