my best friend wants to get her bf a band when they get engaged so women know he is taken...i think she is crazy. she says that women get an engagement ring so men should get something too...

what do u guys think?

I think it's silly. I got an engagement ring and DH just waited until we got married to get a wedding band.

I think it's up to each couple. One of my friends got her husband an engagement ring after he asked her, and he loved it.

It's whatever works for you.

For us, I got the ring. He gets to not plan the majority of the wedding.
