I like that idea as long as the videographer isn't talking to people during dinner or thereafter. I worked a wedding where guest were BEYOND annoyed that they were being taped eating AND expecting to talk. I think if there is a specific time before the ceremony starts, as guests arrive or RIGHT after when they are enjoying either a cocktail hour or are making their way to a reception, then that would be the best (and easiest) time to film. (IMO!

yeah it would be between when the guests got to the reception site and when we got there after pictures. we will have about 30-45 minutes of pictures after the ceremony. we are doing all of the family, bridal party pictures before hand because my church has an hour limit on after the wedding to take pictures. my coordinator would make sure that it went smoothly, i'm going to discuss it with her. as usual dh was completely indifferent. its frustrating but its what i expected

My friends had someone do that at the reception & it's STILL one of their favorite parts of the video. I think it was shot towards the end of the reception & almost everyone was a lil tipsy
