What is your wedding date & why did you pick it? - Weddings

If this has been posted before.... oh well!

So, what is the month and day you got married and why did you pick it?

If I could have been married March 17th, I would have done it! But we wanted a saturday wedding. The #17 is my favorite number. So March 7th was close to it. Plus, why get married any later in the month of March when I could have been married on the 1st Saturday? I couldn't wait to be married to him!

Our elopement date (Jan. 9th) we didn't have a choice. It was the soonest date the city hall could do it and it was the last weekend that I was in Germany visiting him. So it was then or never. But we count March 7th as our real wedding date anyway. So our Jan date doesn't really matter too much.

I wanted to get married on my bithday. April 27th. But it fell on a weekend and the courthouse wasn't open. When we called they had 1 April date and that was it. So that was our date. April 12th

May 12. I went to visit DH after the semester ended and that was the saturday that I was there.

We will hopefully be getting married on Aug 21, 2010..

We chose it because it is the day we started dating, and it also works with my school schedule..

I'm weird with numbers so 03.07.09 looks cool to me. I think 08.21.2010 looks cool too. Probably because of the 2 and 1 in the day and year of your wedding date. I know...

DH makes fun of me and my "numbers issue."

I'm just curious, but does your marriage license say your jan one or your march one?
