I don't know where to start... - Weddings

I am the type of person who doesn't spend her time looking when shopping- I go straight for what I have in mind, or I glance at things as I walk by...Therefore, I don't even know where to begin with all this. I have a lot of researching & planning to do since we're not in that state, but I'm just like...

. I like everything in front of me. I mean, I WANT a wedding. I deserve one (every girl does if thats what they want), so I definetely am happy to being doing this, but at the same time I'm frazzled. Hell, he would be happy with going to a church tomorrow w/ just us & getting married

I have 6 months to plan everything. 3,000 miles away from the location

I want our budget to be under $3K. That should be do-able, yeah? I think so. It will have to be!

Man, it's one thing to sit and talk about it like we've been doing for so long, but it's another to finally put your foot down, say this is the date, and start planning

He wants a BBQ reception

I wouldn't mind it if it wasn't a "messy" type of food, but maybe we can find something that resembles that but is still classy & not as messy, as I want it at some time of reception hall as the weather is too unpredictable in March (could be sunny or snowing!)

he says he gets to pick what food we eat as he's always wanted the bbq

it's not "impossible" but it's difficult. we started out saying our budget would be under 5k... but we've doubled that... and even though we're paying for it ourselves, we're having the wedding i've always dreamed of... *but* i've heard of ppl doing it for fairly inexpensive, especially in the midwest. jason's sister's wedding (in michigan) is going to be under 5k, and that's including everything.

i have a good wedding planner guide that we got from robbins bros if you want to look at it.
