Dress Blues in a wedding... - Weddings

Ok, I really need your support in this ladies!!!

DF is in the Corps and he doesn't want to wear his blues, but his best man does. He would be the only one wearing blues, the rest of the groomsmen will be in tuxes, as will DF.

Should I let him wear the blues?

Hehehe...we have been "arguing" about this for a few days now...

OOHH...I love a uniform on the groom

DH wore his blues for ours. NICE.

If you are ok with it, then totally let him wear his blues. when my brother got married his best man was in the AF and wore his uniform for the ceremony it was really nice looking. besides who can resist a man in uniform.

i would say let him wear it! why not

nothing wrong with it if it doesnt bother you or DF then its a go

ok, i should add that it's not really "he's a proud marine"...he says he just never gets to wear them, so he wants to since he has the occassion to do so...

i don't want them because i think it would look funny in pics if only one has them on...if DF were going to wear them, it would be a different story!

personally i feel that any man/women in a formal setting should be wearing their blues (as they learned in boot they HAVE to wear them in any formal setting) but thats jmo

While you think it might look funny it doesn't dh was in a wedding where the grooms men weren't all military, but the couple wanted them to wear their working blues, ( the johnny cash's) and the non military guys wore black pants black shirts and black ties, it looked fine, even in the pictures.

to each their own, but I would think because he is asking to wear them part of him is Proud to be a Marine otherwise he wouldn't want to wear them at all.

I say go with what you want. He earned the right to wear it on any formal ocasion. At the end it's your wedding though.
Why is your finace not wearing his?

I picked other cause I think both should wear their Dress Blues.
