Anybody in Virginia w/furniture?

We are PCSing to Norfolk,VA and we need some furniture!! We have nothing. I don't want to buy anything new if I can buy something gently used from a MSOS member. I need some living room furniture and a dining room table. Not toooo huge b/c its just the two of us. I love leather BUT I am leaning towards cloth sofa's b/c the couch we have and have now given away to my mom is leather and my butt sticks to it We are also looking for a clean queen sized mattress. Basically anything you got I'm probably interested in!! Post pics and give me your prices! We are also financially strapped due to the move so we aren't trying to spend an arm and a leg. Thanks!!!

Have you looked at Craigslist or maybe Goodwill? I dont know if they have furniture because I have never been there.

DB and I got all our furniture from craigslist when we moved here to chesapeake. We got a gently used complete living room suite practically brand new for 1000 bucks. Check it out and see if you like anything.

I've been looking on craigslist too. I just wanted to see if anyone on here (b/c I trust everyone here) had something. Thanks to both of you though. I've been scavenging everywhere.

I have 2 living-room sets (one that I got from JudyB) but its in NoVa. If you were willing to drive up there then let me know, there is also a full bedroom set, bar, and some other stuff.

Go check out cort furniture. Were getting a new apartment and have absolutely NOTHING and the lady gave us the add. Its previously rented stuff. you can get 3 rooms of furniture for $1,299. One of the guys in DH's shop got their things from there and its really good stuff.

BTW, we're in Virginia Beach. I haven't actually met too many MSOS'ers in person but LittleBit has babysat my kids quite a few times this month & another member here referred a previous MSOS member to me who has also babysat for me a couple times.

NoVa?? I dunno what that stands for lol How far is it from VA Beach? Hopefully we will still have the uhaul truck we are renting for the move and we could set something up. I would be interested in the bedroom set. Do you have any pictures of it and how much would you charge for it?

NoVa is northern Va.... prob about 3 hours from where you are, I will try to see if I have any pics, but im in Kuwait now so I will see what I have, and if nothing then I will see if my mom can take some pics.

The set consists of 1 large dresser (I think 6 drawers), 2 mini-dressers (3 drawers each with 3 shelves above), 1 large desk with cork-board attachments, and 1 night table...
