Clothes Wanted For Donation

Hey girls, I just wanted to throw this out there. I work at a salvation army summer camp right now and we have a little girl who is staying with us all summer. She and her father are homeless and her mom passed away last month. Her father has had to go out of town to train for a new job and is just trying to get back on his feet.

She is 12yrs old, but a little bigger and would wear pretty much anything. I don't have an exact size but she would basically fit a Juniors med/large or smaller women's sizes in tops and she would be around a 5 or 7 in pants. She literally has nothing so all of us camp staff are trying to see what we can do.

I can try to help with shipping, but our money is so tight I just don't have much or I would have just bought all the clothes on here for her. So, if you wanna help please let me know. I would really appreciate it and I know she would too.

Do you still need clothes for her? we just had a rummage sale at my moms and a bunch of my old clothes are probably still left.. i'm going there wednesday so i could see what i have left.. let me know i'd love to help!

hmmm, i just went through my clothes and have a TON! i'll have to look through and see if any are the right sizes. could we get a height and weight guess maybe. i'm thinking mine might all be too small. does she need bras? if so what size? i'm sure everything i have will be too small for that too. i hope i can help in some way! i hope i have the money to ship it all.

I would love to help in some way. Unfortunately, I am bigger than she is, but I will look through my clothes. I am bound to have something for her. Does she need anything else like a new tooth brush, hair brush, or anything of that nature?

Let's see if I can answer everything for you girls! I think she is probably about 5' 7" and Im really not sure on weight... She's not heavy, she's just tall and larger than most 12 year olds. Bras - I have no idea, but I can ask her on Tuesday when I go back to camp. As far as other things, she really could use anything! We've all tried to come up with stuff that a "normal" 12 yr old girl would be bringing to camp so that she doesn't feel so out of place... I do know she is using a pink paddle brush for her hair and it is missing more than half of its teeth, so definitely a new brush!

If anyone else has any questions, let me know! Whatever I don't know I can try to delicately ask her on Tuesday when I get back to camp!

Aww, I have nothing in those sizes but you are sweet I worked at SA camps my whole life, my parents were officers... I know I gave away so much clothing to those kids, some came along with just nothing

I have a ton of clothes that I wore back in middle school that I don't even touch anymore. But they are all size Small and Extra Small Could any of the other girls use the smaller sized clothes? I was planning on giving them away anyhow since they are all middle schooler clothes and no woman in her right mind would buy them for herself (I was a total dork back then )

I would still love to help though. Where do we send this stuff? Could you PM me an address and I'll send a box of stuff. Also, do you know what her favorite animal is, by chance?
