Would this be a good idea? - Trying to Conceive

I was thinking about going on birth control for awhile before dh comes back. I've heard that once you come off of it you may be more fertile? I've only tried birth control once and it was a long time ago. I don't remember what kind it was but it made me bleed all the time!! What do you all think? Is this stupid? I don't know....I just really want to get preggo when dh comes home.

I was not fertile at all after coming off BC, so I think it all depends on your body. I'd only have a period every other month.. and that sucks when your TTC.. It took a year to conceive my DD..

i heard the opposite. best ways to better prep your body for a baby is to start taking prenatals, eating a balanced diet rich in folic acid, etc etc

Oh I've been taking prenatals since I was preggo almost 2 years ago....
I eat a pretty good diet for the most part. lol
I just thought I would check with you all and see what you thought/heard/done.

It took me along time to get pregnant with both my boys ,like years. The second one I had lost wieght and just didnt think about getting pregnant and I also bought these herbal pills from GNC for fertility and stopped taking them the month before . I dont know if thats what worked but, I gave up trying and then I was prgnant.

If you want to get preggo when DH comes home I would suggest charting your temp and getting to know your body while he's gone. You can go to Fertility Friend and take the course that they offer. It gives tons of info on learning the signs that your body gives you when you are fertile. When he's gone would be a great time to do that. Then when he gets home you will have a better idea of when you are fertile. Good luck
