So, I started charting this past month to see when i ovulate so when me and my DH start TTC hopefully it can happen quickly.
Well i got a 8 day luteal phase this time around. What also makes me worry is i had a previous miscarriage last year... When i went in to see how far along i was they said i wasn't even 4 weeks... witch means i would of had to O'd the same week i was supposed to start my period... So is there a natural way to lengthen your luteal phase? I do go to the Oby next month because i had an ovarian cyst last month...Good news is besides the cyst everything else looked great.... Any words of advice... we do want to start TTC soon... We are looking at Jan. I just want to get my body ready and hopefully working right...

Vitamin B6. Take 100mg a day.
If that doesn't work, bump it up to 150...Don't go higher than that though. Also you could try a progesterone supplement during your luteal phase HOWEVER you would need to get blood work done to check your levels befMore trying progesterone. Keep taking your prenatals ![]() And if these natural ways don't help speak with your doctor. They put me on a low dose of clomid to lengthen my cycle. (and it worked) |

How long have you been monitoring your luteal phase?
You need to check your temps and use ovulation strips to determine the exact time you ovulate. You need to do it consecutively for three months so you can get an accurate pattern. Go speak with your doctor, he'll do blood testing around day 8 of your luteal phase to check your hormone levels. Start from there.
