New to TTC
Any tips?! We aren't looking to start charting or do basal temperatures or anything like that just yet. I actually don't even know how to do that. But what are some good things to start?

I would start charting and BBT honestly... It really helps you get to know your body. FertilityFriend has a great tutorial/website and a free 30 day trial. I'm not sure where else there is to start because you really need to know your cycle to really TTC.

I never charted and we were successful. We just had sex when we felt like having sex and had fun with it. All the charting and temping was too confusing for me. We conceived DS 4 months into TTC.

Just have fun!!!
Get to know your cycle! I don't chart or anything but knowing my cycle helps me determine about when I will ovulate and then we get extra "busy" during that time. Also I use Ovulation tests the you pee on to let you know you will ovulate within 24-48 hours.....you gotta do it though about 10-14 days after your 1st day of your last period. But there are tons of ovulation calculators online like on babycenter.com that can give you an idea of when you will ovulate.

Thanks for the tips ladies. I don't even know how to chart or anything but I have been keeping track of my periods and used the ovulation calculators. My cycle is pretty consistent. We aren't looking to get too serious about it just yet though because I don't want to get stressed out. If we aren't successful in probably 6 months or so, I'll def be charting, doing temps, and whatever else. Right now though we just want to take a laid back approach. Thanks for the advice and send some baby dust our way

I was very regular, so I decided just to use ovulation predictor strips just to make sure I was really ovulating. The first month, I got a positive OPK the day that I thought I was going to ovulate and I actually got pregnant the first month trying. That was a shock for sure. If you don't want to try the charting and stuff (I didn't, unless it took longer than six months or so), then you might want to just try the OPK's for a few months and see how that goes.
