Looks like we'll be waiting longer than we originally thought - Trying to Conceive

And I'm happy with it.

DH and I had a long talk yesterday. We were planning on TTC our second and last baby about a year from now but we're thinking about putting it off until at least 3 years from now. If we had stuck with our plan the next baby would be coming just as we were starting a new chapter in our lives. Matt will more than likely be working on potty training or starting it, he'll be more independent, I'll be starting my new career and we finally won't have a little baby around. Which means more time (and money) to be a couple. Don't get me wrong, I love having a baby around but with DH and me, we dated for 6 months then got married and 4 months later I was pregnant. We had hardly any time to spend as a couple. So we're going to spend a few years being selfish. Taking weekend vacations with Matt, save up and replace some of our furniture that is starting to fall apart, actually go on dates, spoil Matt a little, start building our savings, etc. Basically just enjoy being a 3 person family for a little while. I can't wait to be a new mommy again but I really think it's in our best interest as a family and especially as a couple that we wait a little longer.

That sounds like a great plan! I'm happy that you're happy and excited about this!! I know how upset you were when you were trying to figure out with your DH a good time to TTC. I'm so happy you love your plan and it sounds great for everyone!
