I would honestly wait until the day of your missed period, just for a more accurate result.
I know, waiting sucks

they are more accurate the closer you are to your actual missed period date. read this site if you want more info, but when you buy those tests, the instruction tell you how accurate it is for 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 day before your period is due. they are 99% accurate only when your period is due.

I got my BFPs at 9dpo and 11dpo with First Response Early Result. It was the first time I tested that cycle and I know I was only 9 and 11 dpos because I was charting. I would say a couple of days before your missed period wouldn't hurt.
