Would you TTC?
Right b4 a deployment if you knew that your SO would be back in time for the birth? Or would you prefer to wait till SO came back so that they could be there throughout? (it's a "short" deployment, he'd miss most of the pregnancy)
I've been thinking about this for a while... part of me wants to try, the other wants to wait... I ran out of BC pills and and would have a couple of cycles b4 he leaves... And I just can't get it out of my head... DH wants to wait... which I guess is pretty much the answer right there... Just wanted to know ur thoughts

Considering I went through a deployment during the first year of Emma's life..I would have much preferred to get pregnant right before he left. Dh missed so much it makes me sad

I think I'd rather go through the pregnancy alone, and have him here for the first year of life than the other way around.
DB was here for a lot of my pregnancy, but is gone now and won't be home until our new little one is around 9 months old.

IDK... I can barely bring it up to DH because I know how he feels... He wants to be there for it all
![]() I don't like to plan around deployments... but you guys bring up a good point... I would know pretty much for sure that DH would be there for the 1st year if not longer which is always a great thing!!! |

Yup. I'm due in November and DH is deploying in May. It's killing me and it makes me sad for our baby. It breaks my heart when I think about our song being an infant when he goes and a toddler when he comes back. Doesn't seem like much, but he's going to miss out on alot. Doesn't helpt that DH is going to be sitting on top of a mountain and won't have alot of communication with us. I wish he had been deployed during the pregnancy instead.

Oh I would love it if we could get pregnant before he deploys. Sure it would be nice to have him for both, but that's not always going to be possible. I'd want him home for the first year. That's such a hard and memorable time. I just would be so upset if he missed that.
