Does anyone have a specific diet or plan they follow in hopes of conceiving?
Are there certain things you have eliminated from your diet or things you added? How bout exercise??? I think I need a TTC Nutrition buddie. Anybody wanna be mine? ![]() DH dropped a bomb on me last night and said, "You say you want us to try and I know you do dear but the way you eat and lack-of-exercise is painting another picture. "With some of your past problems you REALLY should be focusing on improving your diet and reducing your odds of complications." Well, what could I say after I picked my jaw up off the floor? Nothing. He's right. I really need to change my habits. I don't exercise. I try and tell myself that walking to the mail box, and carrying groceries into the house has to count for something. I drink three cups of coffee M-F as well as three cups of water...all day long. For every brewskie I chug, I chug a glass of water to ease my mind. Look in my fridge....."WOAHHHHH how long has THAT been in there?" *faint* |

bout the only thing i have done nutrition wise is pretty much cut down on my caffeine... i weened myself off it by starting wit half caf/half decaf in the morning and once i ran out of that i switched to full on decaf... but i do have 2 starbucks a week (and they dont have decaf SB so i have to have full caf) and also the prenatals... i have been lacking on the exercise part though...

i used to drink starbucks a lot. I cut it out completely and went to the gym. they say sometimes just dropping a few pounds increases your chances of fertility.

Well, we weren't TTC but I have picked up some things along the way of what to do, etc.
Let me just say I don't exercise. Never have been able to stick to it. So I can't say much there. But I have heard that if you are TTC you should be taking prenatals with folic acid in them because that can help with viability once you do conceive. Cut out alcohol and smoking (if you smoke), and limit caffeine. Now, I smoked like a fiend and even had a beer the night before I found out. My baby is doing just fine. Eating healthfully is something you should do for you too. I hope you get your baby soon.

Oh he won't be home for quite awhile but I figure it doesn't hurt to go ahead and start improving my lifestyle now.
I take plenty of vitamins I just figure they probably don't do much good if I eat crappy and don't exercise. Thanks ladies.

okay you have inspired me
i am going to an exercise class this morning and am going to try to go to a class at least 3 times a week!and i am going to buy yogurt... thats healthy for breakfast ya?

![]() ![]() You can be my TTC fitness/nutrition buddy! ![]() What kind of exercise are you going to do? Just a regular workout? and yah, yogurt is healthy as long as you don't buy the chock full of sugar stuff. ![]() I just spent 70 bucks on whole grain, organic, fruits/veggies, and other random goodies. I all the way down the wine and junk food isles.

). You should eat one serving of full fat dairy a day. So skip the light yogurt.
