How do you plan for #2?
We had our son before my dh got to his first boat. Now, with their schedule, how do you plan for another one? Actually count out the months and guess that is when you'll get pregnant? My dh missed the birth of our son because I went into labor 3 weeks early, but I was at home with my family then, but now, I'd be 2,000 miles from them. I just don't want to do it alone.

Its all a guessing game. Unless you can KNOW without a doubt you will conceive a certain month then you can't really predeict it. And no one can know that....I think about the best thing you can do is figure out the time frame. So like we leave here to go back to sea duty in August of 07. Had I of gotten pregnant in April (no peoples we aren't actively trying
) I would of been due in January. May would be february and so on. If I didn't want to move with a new born or pregnant then we'd stop trying once I hit where I would be due in say June. And use protection from then on out. It's a risk. We "planned" E in a sense. We had been trying for over 9years and decided to do the fertility meds when he was fixing to roll to shore duty. It worked. We got pregnant right before leaving sea duty and coming to shore. For us tho, we didn;t really care..We just wanted to get pregnant and having him home was a bonus! |

It was easy for Tony and I because he was transfering to a PCU, so he wouldn't be going to sea. We've been able to have 2 babies since he transfered hehe.

Just enjoy they process of becoming and being pregnant. If he's home for the birth Wonderful - but if for some reason he's not, the military is a BIG family. There will be people there for you. (JMO)
