Babies and flying?

Here's the situation...in about a month or so, I'll be flying to Hawaii with my 9 month old. He's still on formula, but with the new "no liquids" regulations on flights I haven't a clue how I'm going to feed my child. It's an 8 hour flight, non-stop and he obviuosly can't go that long without eating. He's been eating baby food, of course, but that doesn't leave him as content as a full bottle does.

So, I was wondering if any of you ladies might have a suggestion or if any of you have flown w/ a baby recently. Help is greatly appreciated

check with your airline but i believe you can have them pre-made but you hvae to be willing to taste them. also you can now buy water and stuff after security now

oh girl you're fine. I took bottles with just water and the can of formula on one trip, then i made the bottles for another. I've took 5 trips with her from NC to Cali and nobody let me taste the formula. They just ask you how many bottles do you have in the bag and how many cans of formula. I took applejuice too.

Oh just to add. I flew with Delta for 3 of those times and Southwest for the other two times. Nobody complained if anything they are going to give you all the attention. They treated me like a celebrity. lol

Sweet! that's what i needed to hear. how did your baby react? was she fussy? did you have her have her own seat?

they are a lot more lax about parents with small childern plus you have a mil id...i always get treated like a celeb too when i fly cuz of the ID...have fun and no worries!!

Noooo she was a good baby. Everybody clapped the last time I rode the plane saying she was really good to be a baby. We had the three way seats. I only brought one and she was suspose to sit in my lap but the middle seat was open so I let her sit there to eat her food and drink her juice. I think the extra seat is a waste of money because they sleep half the time. She rode the plane with she was 1 months old, 2x when she was 9months old ,1x when she was 10 months old and 1x time when she was 11 months old. But I seen babies fussy the entire trip...I think they had gas but they had there on seat sitting in a car seat. The parents had to hold the lil boy most of the time. Waste of money. lol

i never showed my ID. lol I used my Drivers License most of the time. They were treating me special because this little woman carrying a big tote and big pocketbook and pushing a stroller. I was comfortable but I think people thought I was struggling. lol

Reading it helps understand the rules with flying with children since they are constantly changing the rules.
