Ok, so I just bought a plane ticket to go see DB before he has to go out on cruise. I haven't seen him in 3 months, Im nervous! Ive never flown by myself before. I dont want to get lost! Only a month now...I can't wait. Hmm...Im going to have to start working out....

Aw good luck flying by yourself. I have to fly alone for my first time in a few weeks. I'm nervous too. But I'm sure it'll go well. And lol on the working out part. That's how I feel everyday. haha.

good luck! pack your ipod and some mags it helps pass the time. i have flown by myself a lot, i dont much like it but im pretty good at it ive done it so much! but how exciting to see him

for getting to see him soon! I just flew by myself for the first time on Sunday and lucky for me they let DB past security so he got to walk all the way to the gate with me

I was really nervous about the whole thing to. I'm sure you'll be just fine.

I've been flying by myself a lot lately. The scary one was cross country over Christmas, and getting laid over in a strange airport!

Make sure to bring gum, a book/music, or something otherwise to entertain yourself. A pillow/blanket isn't a bad idea either.

Keep your belongings close to you, read the signs, and you'll be fine!

Oh, yeah, definitely look into him meeting you at the gate both ways, if he can come meet you. The airports should be really good about that. Just explain that he's deploying and get him an accompaniment pass. That'll make the airport A LOT less scary.

DB got to sit with me at the gate last time before I flew home, and it was so much better all the way around.

Thanks so much ladies! Ill be flying only one way, so I only have to do it once. Hehe. But I figure even if i get lost, I can always ask someone. And thanks for all the tips! I never even thought about gum, or my ipod haha. You guys rock

When DH and I were dating, I would fly every other month to see him...I actually loved it because I like being in new places and learning new airports!

I took books and snacks!!
