It depends on which airline, where you purchased them through, etc. I purchased tickets through American a couple of years ago and changed where the destination was and I had to pay the difference plus $50 for changing. Check with who you purchased them through, probably your best bet.

I think it's usually about $100-$150, depending on who you booked through. If you booked through some place like expedia, travelocity or cheaptickets, they'll charge you $50 plus the $100 that the airline charges plus the difference of the cost of ticket.

who'd you get the tickets through???if it happened to be southwest you just cancel the 1 ticket and then buy a new one using the funds so you only pay the difference.
