Does anyone remember when williamsbabygirl posted about being able to go to the gate at the airport to see her dh off? What is it called again? And can I possibly get my dh to be allowed to come with Val and I to the gate when we fly out to CA?

when i was flying alone with Savannah and Gabe, my mom was allowed to go back with to help. it doesnt hurt to try. worst they can do is tell you no.

Thats a good question, DD and I are going to be flying to TX soon and it would be great if DH could sit with us while we wait!!

that was my plan. I just wanted to try to pull the military card.

nope cant pull the military on this one. he isnt the one flying out.

I worked for us here, flying out of Honolulu to San Diego. Hawaiian Airlines helped us, but we could've also gone to USO where they would've helped us too. The HA guy asked us why, and then I responded that I needed help because I was traveling alone with my then 12 month old son...
The TSA folks kept Bryan's military ID until he returned back to the security checkpoint from the gate.

when DH was flying out we told the person where he checked in that we werent going to be able to see eachother for a while and what not and the gave hid mom and me a pass that said "escort" on it... all we needed was our state ID....

Yeah, but that was when HE was flying out. If the SO isn't deploying and is just flying to visit family and what not, it doesn't happen. At least not ever that I've seen, and uh, I work for TSA.
