    Not Your Typical Vacation

    Advertisements
After talking to my husband we decided that we didn't want to wait the whole year to see each other so we're planning a trip for me to travel to Bahrain . I know about the passport and having to get a travel visa (valid for two weeks and then apply to renew it). Does anyone have any tips? Anyone ever been?

no tips but that's awesome!! I would love to go over there and see all the different culture and history!!!

but I will say if you are on any medications make sure they aren't banned; I can't go to the UAE because at least two of my prescriptions are banned in the entire country

No I've never been there but it sounds like an adventure for you to meet up with your husband! I'm glad you'll be spending some time together!

For the UAE I just googled the their tourism website and visa requirements and a restricted medication list was on there. The Bahraini consulate should have the info on their website or be able to give it to you via email/phone. Im on weird medications though so that may not be a common issue for people haha

If the State department doesn't have the info you need, you can call a Bahraini consulate and ask them.

Thank you guys so much! I couldn't sleep last night and did some digging and found it, which unfortunately changed our plans. Hopefully things work out and we can still get some time together this year because we are definitely struggling with this continued separation.
