Flying Space-A - Travel, Leisure & Vacations

How many of you have flown Space-A before? I'm just imagining waiting at the airport like an idiot waiting for a spot on a flight that I may never get... anyone had any luck in the past?

I've flown space A before...Flew from Jax, Fl to El Centro, Ca...It was one of the worst flights of my life...we flew to Oceana, Va first to pick up a squadron going on a DET to El Centro...But It was free and it got me as close as possible to Los Angeles.
I just called to verify the flight wasnt cancelled and to make sure the space was available...so I only waited for the flight to board...HTH

Space A is just that...space availability. You can contact the terminal and see what they say about what they have available. Remember, you can only take a MAC flight if you have your dh with you, and if you are flying overseas. Dependants can't take MAC flights within the US.

Yeah... I was hoping to fly space-a for our vacation to save a little extra money, but I'm afraid we wouldn't make it to the airport in time for transportation.

I dont think I'd use Space A for vacation unless you have lots of flexibility in your plans...especially if your hunny is on leave and has to be back at a certain time...its just to unpredicable to travel that way.

You're probably right... it is a little risky. He's coming home and he's got a month of leave for PCS, so we were hoping to get a 4-5 vaca. in, but we'll probably just book it all to be safe. Thanks for the info
