I am getting so nervous about flying on Friday! I haven't flown since I was pregnant with Ashlynn & that was pre-9/11.

Has anyone flown with all of the restrictions now? I'm wondering if it is worth it for me to go buy a ton of sample sizes of everything or if I should just buy stuff in CA?!

I've looked but can't find out any info as far as flying with "electronics." I tried to call Continental but gave up after being on hold for 45 minutes. Can you take MP3 players on the plane?

What are the security checkpoints like?

Any tips you want to share?

I'm flying from San Antonio to Houston & then on to San Diego. I'm not bringing any carry-ons except for my purse. And only one luggage bag.

I normally love to fly but it's been so long since I have & so much has changed! I'm probably just being a big baby but I'm scared!

You can pack whatever liquid you want in your check back! MP3s are fine! most electronics are cool on the plane, you just have to turn off any wireless or phones or anything like that during the flight. You can buy water and stuff past the security check point and take it on the plane... food and anything like that as long as you get it past the checkpoint. You should be fine! We flew continental when we went back to Texas. We didn't have any trouble!!

I just flew (about 3 weeks ago) up to Portland, OR and everything actually went really smooth. You can still have mp3 players, cell phones, laptops, etc. on the plane, and the only reason you would have a problem with shower stuff is if you have it in a carry-on bag. Security is higher, but I don't think it's anything really extreme...just wear shoes that are easy & quick to take off since you have to do that now when going through security. Hope that helps!

When I went to Cali back in Sept, I just packed all my shower stuff in my check in. Its actually kinda nicer cause you have less to carry on the plane.

I just went to CT to vist my Dh. Bascially just check all your shower stuff and everything should be fine. Electronics are allowed on the plane just only on when they say so. Laptops have to be opened at the checkpoint.... Oh and no drinks until you get through the check point. The will only allow a sip of water/coke or whatever left... so its really pointless lol But once you are through the secuirty you can purchase them .......I think thats about it
