I can't make my mind up!! - Travel, Leisure & Vacations

Dh's hitting a port very soon and I have the opportunity to go and see him. I haven't seen him since the honeymoon and I didn't think I'd have a chance to see him until Xmas. There's a couple of problem's though. The flight's are expensive. Not inaffordable, but expensive. Also, the flights aren't refundable and I've been told that dh's schedule could change at the last minute. He doesn't have a cell phone, so if his liberty is screwed or he can't get off the ship for some reason he won't be able to tell me - I'd just be sat in a hotel in a strange place waiting for him. I want to see him so much - we've gone through a rough time recently and having some time together would do us the world of good. I'm in two minds - I really don't know what to do....

I would talk to the airline about it being military-related and see if they can help you in anyway.

That only works in the US - they don't make military allowances in the UK

I think I'm going to check the flight prices until a couple of days beforehand. I'm currently off sick too, so I'd have to be well before I can fly. The timing sucks!!!!
