Where to go for R&R

DH is getting R&R in February. We've been saving up, so we want to go somewhere. So far, this is our criteria:

No really crowded places
Warmer weather
Relatively relaxing

As you can see, that doesn't do much. We don't have a set budget yet, but we have been saving.

I really have to clue where to go.

don't know when he gets R&R but Florida is always warm!!! South Florida like Keys or Miami

Key West! Or anywhere in the Keys...they shouldn't be too crowded in Feb. I think you can find some relatively cheap places to stay, and the biggest expense would be the plane/rental car if you flew.

I mentioned FL, but wasn't sure how warm it would be! The other places we've thrown around were Mexico, Jamaica, Caribbean, etc...

Is he flying to the location and meeting you there for coming to your location and ya'll going together?

We had originally wanted to have him fly somewhere and meet me, that way we could save some money, but in the end, we decided that would be hard to pull off. Trying to plan that ahead of time and all the changes, and potential delays, sounds like it would be too stressful and risky. I'd hate for one of us to be stuck in a foreign country alone.

So, we'll probably meet up in Tulsa and fly out from there.

Ohok... Well I was just going to tell you not to book flights or anything until he is on US soil. Blake was suppose to be home on July 4th for R&R last year and got home on the 11th! Because there was a sandstorm or something like that!
Its so hard to plan something like that over R&R, I don't even know what kind of advice to give you! I would def. go somewhere tropical though!

And with my luck, it would wind up being totally screwed up. Last year, for R&R when he came home, it was the worst ice storm in Tulsa. The whole town was shut down. He flew into dallas instead and rented a car and drove up.

Not a chance. Your R&R is in Feb, we're staring down May. Ours might as well be a lifetime away.
