Cabins in the Smoky Mountains?
I want to take a little weekend getaway with my husband and our little family when he gets back. I've looked at some areas in Bryson City, NC...
Does anyone have any good places they would recommend? I'm looking for something IN the mountains...secluded...pretty mountain views...maybe some fishin'...

Look for something around Pigeon Forge, TN. My sister and brother in law go there pretty often and love it. I don't know the name of an actual resort, though.

I peeked around Pigeon Forge a bit...I stayed in the town of Gatlinburg a while back but I want to avoid staying in the touristy area.
I wouldn't mind visiting during the day but I want to wake up and see nothing but mountains.  MyFlyBoy - Check this site out...I've been peeking around (alot of them give military discounts too). I just don't know what to go with... http://www.greatsmokies.com/cabinsli...chType=amenity

they ya go. its right above gatlinburg, even though the reservation office is in pigeon forge. its above the arts and crafts community, if you know where that is. if you have gps, use it to find your way back down instead of the directions they give you. I have lots more pics if you want to see them, pm me. this place always has a bunch of specials going on. we paid for 2 nights, got one night free, and they had a bunch of deals like that. Lots of adorable cabins, very nice, pretty secluded, and well maintained.  the right pic on my siggy is us sitting on the fireplace in the cabin
