Anyone ever been? Thoughts? Stories? Dos? Don'ts?

DF and I are looking into it as a possible honeymoon location. Any info would be appreciated

I wanted the carribean, but i think August might be the beginning of hurricane season so Fiji might be a good alternative

I'd love to know more about Tahiti too!!!! That's another honeymoon option

We did a week stay, we stayed 3 days in Papeete and then 4 in Bora Bora. It was absolutely amazing! We stayed at Le Meridien in Bora Bora on the over water bungalows, again amazing. The resort has everything down to your own private lagoon where you can swim with the turtles.

We actually got an amazing deal that included the flight from Hawaii, and the inter connection flight & resort.

I would recommend Tahiti to EVERYONE. It was an incredible experience that we will never, ever forget. HeatherA went there on her honeymoon as well and I'm pretty sure we both made plans to retire there if we could

After DH came home from deployment last august... we went on a trip

we talked about going to Fiji, but it was going to be my first time on a plane and the crazy long plane ride (i forget how long) kinda freaked me out. im claustrophobic and didnt know how i would do on a plane.
we ended up going to the bahamas. We went mid-august and the forecast called for rain all week but it was all sunshine and blue skies the entire time

and the plane ride was short. the resort, The Atantis Resort, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! i loved every second of that vacation
