Philadelphia
Right now DB is at Ft. Dix, and he'll have a 4 day pass before he deploys. I'll be flying into Philadelphia, and since I've never been there, I'd like to stay at least one day. Any recommendations on things I should do? Places to eat? Places to stay? DB has already been to Philly and done the Liberty Bell and stuff like that, though I'd like to do it too.
TIA |

one of my besties works at the art museum - its "pay what you want" on sundays, fyi. i love it, i went a couple times while i was there.
the best cheesesteak - so i'm told - is inside the rock'n'roll exxon at grilladelphia. rock'n'roll exxon is soooo amazingly ridiculous anyways. are you looking for nightlife stuff to do? what day of the week will you be there?

Last week we watched a special on Philly.
According to the show there are 2 great places for Philly Steak Sandwiches ~ Gino's & Pat's. They are diagnal from each other. People from Philly know where these places are so you can easily get directions. Depending on who you talk to one is better than another. Never been there but thought I'd pass the info we saw on the travel channal. Have fun.

I'm also looking for suggestions of towns outside of Philadelphia for us to stay in. We're looking for hotel rooms that aren't $130+ so we can actually enjoy our time while we're there! We're planning on renting a car, so a bunch of us can go wherever. |
