So, DB and I are going to DC for the weekend.

He has been there once but it was when he first got stationed in VaBeach, and he hardly got to see anything because he was there for business. So my question is, those of you who have been what are the hot spots to see? I know there are a million and 1 things to do, and see when yoru there and I know we wont even put a dent in all of those things in 2 days. So I want to hit the most important places.

So let me know ladies, what was your favorite thing(s) to see in DC!

Our favorite museum is Natural History. The gem section is amazing! And you have to go see the pandas at the National Zoo. There's a Lebanese Taverna by the zoo. I that restaurant. Grape leaves. The Holocaust Museum is well worth it, but don't think you'll leave unaffected. That place chills you to the bone and leaves you feeling a bit haunted. it's very powerful. Arlington and the tome of the unknown soldier have a similar effect on me. It's a beautiful place to be, but the sadness is there.

I'm not a fan of the DC mega clubs. $20 cover charges and $9 drinks from surly bartenders who try too hard to be cool annoy me. China Town has a fun bar strip where things are slightly more laid back and fun.

I def want to g to the holocaust museum. I have always been interested in that, even though it is sooo heart breaking.

Spy Museum if you can! I haven't been yet but it's on my list!

I second Natural History Museum.

Also, my favorite part is just walking around looking at the monuments. All the history

It's been sooooo hot lately, so I hope it's not soooo hot that it's unpleasant. I'm sure we wil have fun either way though!

Oh that is a bummer if it is supposed to be hot. I do know they have bus tours that take you to certain locations- I would look into those!!!

I'm doing some research right now, before we leave tonight. We have been trying to plan all of this while he has been out to see, and email keeps going in and out. So it's kinda difficult. haha It's suppose to be low 80's which isn't that bad. But it's suppose to rain tomorrow!

Don't let it get you down, though! There are tons of indoor activities. You can save monuments for your next trip

Yeah, we are leaving tonight when he gets back. It will be okay though. There have to be things to do while it rains. haha.
