SINGAPORE OR THAILAND - Travel, Leisure & Vacations

We are going to take a 14 day vacation in either Dec or Jan and have come up with two locations that have a similiar climate as Hawaii.

Where would you rather go, Thailand or Singapore if your plane tickets where paid for?

I think that I'd rather go to Thailand because when I think of Thailand I think of it being less "Westernized".

THOUGH it may be easier to really enjoy the area in Singapore since English is the main language and you will only be there for two weeks (only! ha. But yeah. In a country so vastly different it may be hard to do a lot of things in only two weeks).

I'd really investigate all that there is to do in both countries and sort of see which would be easier to do in the two week time frame.

Thailand, I think. I've never been to either, but I know my husband wasn't too impressed with Singapore (he's been to both).

Dh ported at singapore a few years ago and said it was beautiful, but that they are very VERY strict about stuff.

According to my hubby, Singapore is VERY clean and Beautiful BUT there are many many rules. Like you can't show the soles of your feet or shake hands with your left hand, or spit on the ground, something about gum (can't remember), there's a lot.

Dh is going to Thailand, so after he goes i can tell you have he thinks about that place but i think Thailand might be better than Singapore.

That is really exciting.
