Bora Bora, anyone? - Travel, Leisure & Vacations

DF and I are pretty seriously considering taking our Honeymoon trip to Bora Bora next winter. (Winter of 2010.)

Has anyone been there? Suggestions on where to stay and what to do? Reasons NOT to go?

Dh and I are talking about going to Bora Bora for our (delayed) honeymoon too!

Really??!? Thats awesome!! It was one of the very few places we could find that neither of us had been to! Where are you looking at staying?

We haven't looked deeply enough to have anything picked out yet. We were looking at http://www.boraboralagoon.com/ we would love to stay in a bungalow and as cool as we think the swim-up ones are, we think that would get annoying after a while. It's absolutely beautiful there. We will be in Japan so we have to get settled in and find out when he can take some leave first before we do any concrete planning.

I agree! We love the bungalows too, but I dont want to always have to swim or take a boat to get away from them!!

That place looks beautiful! I'm off to research it more! Thanks for posting it!!!

Check out the Le Merriden and their over the water bungalows. One day I will take my wife there. Air Tahiti Nui usually has some great deals from either JFK or LAX.
