Cancun

So ladies, I'm planning a birthday trip for myself and my BFF. We wanted to go somewhere we've never been so we picked Cancun. We found airfare for a reasonable price but any suggestions on where to stay? I like to party and eat! So if there are any good all inclusive places or locations to avoid....Can somebody help me out?!

ugh:S my only advice is to stay on the main strip at night anywhere else can be extremely dangerous I have a lot of bad stories that go along with my one trip to cancun I had fun times too Fat tuesdays is fun just be super safe dont go anywhere alone and dont trust the police to bail you out of anything...and DONT put your drink down even if you think youre somewhere that seems safe

DH and I were planning on going to Cancun but we decided not to. Even if it's just media hype about the high level of violence.. I didn't want to risk going there.

its not just media hype. one of my teachers works for an agency who is down there helping out and what not its not hype at all thats the crappy part

I've been to Mexico 4 times! I recommend going to the Riviera Maya. We stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. Its all inclusive as well! There are four hotels there in a row..all Iberostar. They have nightly entertainment as well and, if you want to go out afterwards, they have a bus that will take you to town and bring you back. I've never had a problem, nor have my parents when they've gone.

Here is a link to one of the hotels. I think the hotels are called..Iberostar Del Mar, Beach, Paraiso, Lindo and Maya. I know Del Mar is the cheapest and then it goes up from there!
