Would you fly the last flight of the night or the first one in the morning?

Moring. DS was too nosy to sleep on our late night flight but I was super tired.
ETA: Thinking back, we have flown all different times going to Cali to see DH. Morning was always best.

When we flew, we flew early in the day, and landed just before noon... that way we could get the rental car, get some lunch and then get on the road to my inlaws house. Early in the day was also better for us, because our kid is a morning person...

This is what my DH thinks.
Do you think the last flights of the day are more crowded then the first flights?

I think the late flight might be better, although I don't know first hand. Seems like the plane would be less crowded, and the chances of the kiddo sleeping might be better.

hmmm i suppose the late flight so maybe they'll sleep...but they may be so restless by then that they actually throw a tantrum. we flew with our son in the afternoon and he was perfectly fine...i don't think time of day matters as much as how much they like being on a plane or not. lol.

Depends on where you're flying?
Some red eyes are ALWAYS crowded and some morning flights are ALWAYS crowded. I wouldn't get your kiddo up early to fly because they'll be cranky. Maybe try for a flight that would allow a normal wake up time? Then by the time you land it should be lunch and naptime allowing a smooth schedule transition. |
