Im staying 1 day 1 nite...ya have any recommendations for hotel on south beach or close too it that was nice but not too expensive?
And what activities I need to do/see??

Everything in south beach is expensive. LOL. Lucky for me DH's dad lives in Miami so when I went there for vacation my I didn't pay a single cent for our "hotel"..

I have family in Miami also. I would stay at South Beach tho..

I would just start googling....

They have everything.
