Where to go? - Travel, Leisure & Vacations

my DB and I are going to take a vacay the week before Christmas...we cannot decide where to go! I live in Alabama so it would be best if it were close by within driving distance (no more than 8 hours!)

My question is....what are some super romantic vacays in the Southeast? Any advice or ideas on where to go or how to make a vacay romantic would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

There are a ton of places to go within an 8 hour driving distance of Tuscaloosa .... ROLL TIDE ROLL !!!

~~
ATL ~ is about 3 hours away
New Orleans ~ is about 4 hours away
Baton Rouge is about 7 hours away. In between NO & BR are a TON of B&B at plantations.
Gaitlynburg {spelling ??} TN

ETA: ~ no matter where you go ~ you can make it romantic.

Gatlinburg would be a great option...Asheville, NC, Charleston, SC, Hilton Head, SC

Gatlinburg is beautiful especially around Christmas time. Anywhere in the Smoky Mountains would be nice
